 An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) provides a standardised assessment of a property’s energy efficiency and is a statutory requirement for most properties that are sold or let.

 The assessment is carried out in accordance with government methodology (RdSAP) and produces an official certificate showing:

 • The property’s current energy efficiency rating

• Estimated energy costs

• Environmental impact rating

• Recommended energy improvement measures

 Suitable for: 

• Landlords letting residential property

• Property sales and marketing

• Compliance with Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES)

What the EPC includes:

• Visual inspection of the property and key building elements

• Assessment of insulation, heating, hot water and lighting

• Lodgement of the certificate on the national EPC register
